Gamification in English language classes: a comparative study within the LWB-UFS context

چکیده
Considering the need to engage and motivate English language students within context of Language without Borders (LwB) program at Federal University Sergipe (UFS), gamification or use game thinking mechanics in real life contexts was applied a class from 48-hour course. In this paper, gamified is analyzed compared non-gamified one. We also investigate how perceive experience comparison regular classes. The methodology employed qualitative teacher-research based on action research. Finally, we conclude that even though 100% think better, they feel just as motivated ones.
